Weety
I changed jobs two years ago and received a new PC. Why is it that when I visit some websites they seem to remember me and try to auto complete the foms using my email address from my old job. Expecially when I have never accessed that site with this PC and used the old email address. These aren't necessarily sites that I use a lot or sites where I have an account. How do I stop this happening?
-pops-
Did you transfer (automatically or otherwise) personal data from the old machine to the new one? I was thinking in particular of Windows Files and Settings Transfer Wizard but other software can do this. The way to remove this data is to re-format and re-install only the data you want to keep. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
CCleaner can help you to remove such data.
Weety
Thanks both. The only thing I may have transferred would have been favourites. But then this is happening on sites I have never visited before. I will give CCleaner a go.
