Dansa
Hello. I recently ran into a problem after my attempt to download a neat theme for windows 7, which required me to do a bunch of changes with installed software to make the theme work properly. I never managed to make the theme work, so I decided to just dump it all and go back to the normal. However. After having done all these changes, I ended up not being able to switch my desktop or anything. I tried to right click desktop and choose personal settings, but it only ended up with the error "unspecified failure" with the explorer.exe. Okay, this should be an easy fix or so I thought. I have now spent hours on google, trying to find a solution, even trying every solution with no luck. Then I remembered that I have a disc with the windows software, so I might aswell just reinstall the whole software...... wrong again. When I try to install the windows software, I am given the error messages "D:\Sources\SPWIZENG.DLL is either not intended to run in windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program again with help of the original installation medias or contact system admin or program reseller if you wish for help." Aswell as "The file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot change continue. Error code is [0xC1]" This is quite bothersome I thought, so I decided to go ahead and restart the pc with the cd and boot it from the cd instead. Success...... I thought. I got into it all, but when I decided to try and reinstall windows 7, I once again was met with a problem, and the problem was that the driver or cd could appearantly not be found (The d drive). I am completely out of ideas now, and slightly frustrated. I've never really been frustrated about these kind of things, because I always thought I had my cd to go back on, in case something like this should happen, but appearantly not! The pc is functional still, but my main problem is the current theme and the fact that I can change nothing and it have only ended up worse when I realised I could not reinstall windows at all. Now..... just to show somewhat more detailed what I did which seem to have caused this problem, I followed this youtube video to the letter - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW_WAvsHhEo Hope there is some help.
