As Clint2 said, a nice clean layout.

I will say that my first site didnt look as good as that, but see how far i have come along with Windows Forum!

One day you may lead all my members to your site and i will have nothing!

Craig.

Very nice Bigdamouk. Like it a lot. :D Let us know as you add more content.

If Craig's first site didn't look as good as yours and he's only improved this far, I guess you could give him some advice.

Bigdamouk, you've done a great job!

I still actually have screenshots of my old website (layouts and such) I used to have them up but I took them off my site because of the embarassment when I look back.

Very funky laid out site. I just wish mine was as good as that back when I first started out!

Excellent, Damo!

I like the metallic-like look of the buttons and the large text on them which does help if the surfer happens to have poor eyesight. Too many web page designers forget about the visually impaired - the text re-sizer in the browser doesn't always work effectively on some web pages.

The large heading at the top of each page took a while to load - about 20 to 30 seconds - on my machine but I am on a 56K dial-up. I've seen some sites where an empty box appears until the graphic loads completely, then the graphic just pops in. I think that is preferable to watching a graphic slowly appear line-by line. You can then look at text etc on the rest of the page and your attention isn't drawn to the graphic struggling to appear. (but that's just my opinion).

The page links went straight to the new page, but the buttons appeared one by one a couple of seconds apart on the new page (OK, I've got a slow machine :) )

But I'm impressed and I'm looking forward to viewing the completed site.

Good on ya, Damo!

ok...the loading times are slightly better now, ive got rid of the page headings which were created in coral draw 10 then imported in, and ive just used text from web plus.....

is there any way of compressing the size of the buttons, these are still taking their time loading, they were created by myself in coral draw 10 and imported through aswell. I think there might be tools on the net to compress image sizes but is there anything in windows ME that can do it???

Oh ive added a bit more content aswell....including links and banners to this place (all designed by myself) and copyrighted..LOL :D

Cheers

Just had another look at your site, Damo. It's looking good. :D Took no time at all to load on my 56K. I like the way the links open in new windows. I prefer that to opening in same window. Quite a few times I've accidently closed IE when something opened in same window and I thought it was in it's own window - if you know what I mean.

Regards

Pete

the links opening in new windows was thanks to madboy33...glad u like it......i was having a few problems with webplus 6,,,,,,,,,so decided to use Coral Draw 10...it took a bit of getting used to as it is a bit more complex but im getting the hang of it...the only real problem i had was uploading my site to the web using coral draw.......i had to use Cuteftp 5.0...which is excellent by the way....Definately recommended :D #

Good luck with yours..........if u need any website goodies have a look at THIS it has hit counters guestbooks and loads of other goodies (thanks to mmmbisto for recommending it)

Cheers

I have nothing constructive to offer but would just like to say I like the site. Easy on the eye and intresting enough to stay with. Let us know when you get a bit more on it.
