booters
Hello everyone I am using windows xp, i have earlier kept security restriction for drive E: to open only by the administrator, later on i have removed the restriction. My windows crashed due to power failure, i reinstalled windows, using admistrator account, but now the drive E is not accessible. Its shows the following message. "E:\ is not accessible. access is denied" When i right click on its properties,. it shows only 3 tabs general,. tools and hardware. How can i get access back, i have my important files in them. Alan2273
I cannot help you with the access permissions, maybe someone more knowledgeable will be able to answer that question, but as a last resort you can retrieve the files from the E:/ drive by using a live Linux CD.If you download Linux Mint or PinguyOS, ( the ISO file), to your computer the either burn it to a CD or download YUMI then use that program to make a bootable ISO to a USB drive , then alter the BIOS boot option to boot from the CD or USB, then you will be able to access the E:/ drive to copy your files to another drive. http://distrowatch.com/ http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/
