I think my son's PC running windows 7 has a malware called xvidly, but I can't get rid of it It opens with Google Chrome; if I use IE conduit.com url shows up. Both browsers are running slower than normal with unwanted/bogus ads. I downloaded malwarebytes but that did not detect it. Is this a malware program and how do get rid of it?

Xvidly is a browser hijacker, which is promoted via other free downloads, and once installed it adds the Xvidly Toolbar, changes your browser homepage and default search engine to search.conduit.com.
