Alan2273 Posted December 1, 2013 Report Share Posted December 1, 2013 Did you make a back up of the registry before you altered the keys, is so just restore the original.If you did not make a back up do a system restore.If you cannot do that I will see what the original values were and post them later, so you can change them back. ly712ig Posted December 3, 2013 Author Report Share Posted December 3, 2013 i did not back up the registry before, why should i?i just changed the value from 1 to 0 so that the option to change the log on sound will appear in the setting...as i wrote, i succeeded to make it appear and changed the sound to something else but nothing really changed.why? It is very unwise to tinker about with the inner workings of a computer without backing up in case you do something wrong (which may be something seemingly as trivial as a slip of the finger on the keyboard).
