How can I change to 64-bit Windows

Recommended Posts

With a "retail" copy, there are separate disks for both versions - the 32bit and 64bit versions - did you use the right one ?

If you bought an OEM version then they are either 32bit or 64bit depending on what you bought.

I tried to reply yesterday, but my reply never got posted - the forum hung basically.

You cannot "upgrade" 32-bit Windows to 64-bit, because the system folder structure is completely different. The only way to change 32-bit to 64-bit is a complete fresh install.
