gordythegouge
Hi everyone....and a Happy New Year to one and all.Of course, it would help if I could get the Windows Live Mail to work properly. See below. Using Windows 7 and Zonealarm as firewall/anti-virus. Cheers Gordy Windows Live Mail Error 0x800CCC0EThe message could not be sent. Irene
Hi Gordy! My husband had this problem yesterday. I resolved it by changing the Incoming and Outgoing Server from .co.uk to .com It appears that Yahoo changed the setting without letting anyone know! gordythegouge
Thanks Irene, that's definitely solved the downloading mail problem. Any ideas on the btinternet.com outgoing mail problem? Their desktop help is anything but! Cheers Gordy :)
Irene
I just checked how the mail is set: We have Incoming on 995 with a 'tick' against SSL.Outgoing is port 25 and TLS encryption for Yahoo mail. Hope that helps. :) P.S. Some info about Socket Error 10060 here: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-the-common-causes-of-socket-error-10060.htm
