Where'd the text go in above post? Is it ghost?

Let's try again, eh?

Rather; install VirtualBox (or other virtual product) on the Windows 8 machine and install XP as guest OS. With XP at end-of-life, this will present a more secure environment and will induce less headach if something goes amok with dual-boot set-up.

Please create an image backup of internal hard drive before fiddlin' much further.

Thanks,
