Chalky Posted March 30, 2014 Report Share Posted March 30, 2014 I am lost. I want to add an 240gb ssd in addition to factory installed hhd. I woudl like to make ssd primary and make 2tb hdd as secondary. I have sssd in place and system recognizes it. Having issues with cloning . (Not sure what to clone from os.) I have Acronis 2014 and trial version of Macrium. HP tells me that I cannot make the ssd primary without purchasing a new win 8.1 install disc. I have not changed a hdd in win 8 but I have always been able to move the os from one drive to another as long as OS stayed with original system. Appreciate any help.
