intrusive display

I am using Windows 7 on a desktop PC with a RELISYS monitor.

An unwanted display appears regularly in the centre of my screen which does not respond to any keystrokes, and I cannot close it. It sometimes disappears of its own accord. I have googled to see if it is recognised virus, to no effect. A malware check does not identify it.

It is a pale blue panel with various tool symbols surrounding a smaller dark blue panel with various tool names (e.g. brightness 0-100) and the following information:

1280x1024 75.1Hz

Ver: 1.OOMYNAO

When I take a screenshot the intrusive panel is not there, so is it possible that this is generated by my monitor? None of the monitor controls appear to have any direct effect on it.

How can I kill it?
