mene23
Hello all, I hope you can try to help me, because I'm not that experienced in working with Windows 8 - but I have promised to try to format and re-install a Packard Bell pc, which normally is pretty easy. But however in the process there had been some errors, and therefore some help. First, I have tried to make the re-install by using the recovery tool in Windows 8, but it seems that doing this process it is overheating and therefore restarted, and hereafter I have a serious problem. When restarting the computer it runs a repair and diagnose loop and it does not enter advanced start up settings, and therefore I have no options available. For your information the computer is pretty new and have UEFI firmware, and therefore with my knowledge I cannot enter BIOS and as a consequence I cannot access bootable CD's. I hope you can help. Thanks in advance.
Alan2273
Have you tried pressing the F2 button at start up before Windows loads.
mene23
Yes I have, and as due to the new Windows 8 UEFI firmware I cannot enter the bios this way, because the booting time is so fast. Otherwise, thanks for the help.
