Alan2273
I have used Acronis for quite a lot of years now, but this was the first time I have attempted to clone a HDD to a SSD.If you have Acronis 2014 do not attempt to do a clone through Windows. You have to use the Acronis recovery disk as the new SSD's are GPT not MBR.I tried through Windows three times and every time it failed. After booting from the recovery disk it successfully completed the clone. After the hard drives were swapped over it booted up with no problems. The laptop had an i3 processor and 8GB's of ram but still took about a minute and a half to boot with the old 5400 rpm drive, with the new Crucial SSD it boots in 12 seconds.
