kismetk Posted August 31, 2015 Report Share Posted August 31, 2015 Hello I have a number of updates and security updates for Windows 7 that keep failing to install via automatic updates. For exampleKB3068708KB3061518KB3060716KB3071756 I have tried some recommended fixits which haven't resolved this. I am trying to do a suggested fix which involves renaming the SoftwareDistribution folder to Old and then manually installing updates but cannot even rename the folder as it is in use. Is this the right way to proceed? What do I need to deactivate to enable me to rename the folder?
