jlonghai
I have some real old zip files from the mid 1990's that won't open. I've tried using the WinXP native zip support and IZARC. WinXP support says the files (there are multiple ones) are corrupted. IZARC says nothing found in the zip archives. I also tried a freeware zip repair tool but it said no problems found. Can anyone recommend a program that can interrogate a zip archive and tel lme if it is corrupted or other detailed data? Or any other ideas?
Gandalph
If Winzip is still available try that. It's the only program I can think of as I don't use Microsoft Windows. HTH.
jlonghai
You don't say which zip repair utility you tried. In the (admittedly few) occasions I had problems into corrupt zip files, I've been able to repair them with http://www.quora.com/Shows-error-crc-failed-in-filename
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Gandalph mentioned WinZip by name. It is a paid program, but has a free trial period. Free program to try: 7-Zip. P.S. make a backup copy of your zip file before starting to experiment!
