Guest nellie2
I have been to the puter fair today and got a rather nice case for £27, a snazzy neon case fan that I may put in or may do later for £10 and 256meg DDR PC2700 memory for £27. I really wanted 512 but funds wouldn't really stretch.. :( I am printing off the motherboard manual now... cos the mobo didn't come with a comprehensive one and the other half has set up his super duper digi cam for me so I can have a record of the build... I can't get my point and click one to work!!! :(See you later then folks!!

Guest nellie2
I shall ignore those sexist remarks....... everything is going ok apart from the fact that the motherboard manual is gobbledegook when it comes to front panel connectors!! The board is a K7VT4-4X-8Xhere is where I got the manual fromhttp://www.asrock.com/support/index_manual.htmsee page 17.......... I have an orange and white wire which says HDD LED, ok, I know where that goes.... I have a white and black wire which says reset/sw two connectors on it but only one one the diagram... so I have put the white wire in the reset sw connector and the black one on the ground connector. I am left with a green and black wire... M/B sw.... but I haven't a clue where to put that one. I also have two wires... red and black that are coming from a case speaker... not too sure where to put them either. Any thoughts?? I am nearly ready for my first test once I have these wires in. Guest
mmmmmmm.........i've always known the speaker to be a four pin connector as your manual suggests....mmmmmmm........what does the m/b sw connector go to, i've never heard of that one? Will probably post the pics tomorrow night now.Thought you might like to know that I am all in one piece and things seem to have gone quite smoothly apart from my little blip with the front panel connectors.
