JamesN2016
I'm trying to use Remote Desktop to log into my PC from my laptop. First, I performed the following on the PC: 1. Created an account for based on my laptop Microsoft account. 2. Turned on "allow remote access" on the PC and added the new account to the remote desktop users 3. Made sure the remote desktop app is allowed to communicate through the firewall on the PC Next, I logged onto my laptop that runs Windows Home 10 edition. I open the remote desktop and enter the IP to my PC for the computer name I get prompted for a user name and password. The username defaults to my Microsoft account. I enter my password and it throws the error "Your Credentials did not work" Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated. JamesN2016
Solved I had to login using the Microsoft account I used when I first set up my windows 8 pc, not my Microsoft account for my laptop. Not sure why the other doesn't work, but I'm considering it solved for my purposes.
