How to repair corrupted USB drive

Insert the USB drive into the computer system through the USB port.

Click on the “My computer- Removable disk icon. Then right-click the “Properties” tab to the Removable disk icon. Left-click the tools tab to select the button named “Rebuild” on it.
Let the computer do the task of scanning and restoring files that were previously corrupt.
Finally right- click the USB pen drive and click on eject to safely disconnect the drive from the computer system.

1. Right-click Start icon.

2. Select Disk Management and click on it.

3. Right-click the corrupted USB drive and choose “Change Drive Letter and Paths…”

4. Click on the drive letter and click Change button.

5. Choose a different letter from the drop-down list and click OK.

6. Done

a USB drive's easiest fix is to format it through windows file explorer.

 

but if you have important data on it then... you're outta luck if it's totally corrupted.

 

Sometimes I could be lucky by using the recuva software to try and recover files.
