christmascracker Posted November 5, 2003 Report Share Posted November 5, 2003 I've reinstalled Windows XP this morning, everything went ok until I went to the Windows Update site to install the updates that I needed. When I clicked on the box to install the new updater I got a blue screen with the message error code 1000008e, parameter 1 80000004,parameter 2 804d9fc0, parameter 3 0ff88f460, parameter 4 00000000 In the error log it comes up as system error, event id 1003, catalogue 102 I've managed to get all the updates and everything now seems fine but would like to know what the BSOD error code means I've posted this in PCA too so apologies if you've already read it :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
