Additionally, it gives system information such as hard disk space, memory usage, CPU type and processor speed. It resides in the taskbar and provides audio warning through the PC speakers if certain thresholds such as temperature and voltage have been exceeded. I know it sounds silly but i always wanted a utility or something to show me my cpu temp other than having to boot into the bios!!... Guest Grim Reaper Posted November 8, 2003 Report Share Posted November 8, 2003 when it goes bang and you have to call the fire brigade!!!!!seriously, most modern mobo's have an auto shutdown feature that will shutdown (strangely enough) your computer should the cpu get too hot.The newer athlons can get up to about 80 degrees without a problem.....but i for one would not like to push mine that far!!!
