Yeah, there but for the grace of God.......etc.

I once got heavily involved with a charity raising money for terminally ill children and the hardest thing was dealing with their family's because their grief lasts not only after the child has died (which can take several years) but before as well and they do have to give *equal* care and attention to the children that are okay at the same time and need not to feel that they are being left out. That is not easy.

I don't think I've explained that very well... sorry!

But I've also been involved with raising money for several good causes including the disabled of all ages and the thing that has struck me the most (as Nellie's link) is the fact they NEVER feel sorry for themselves. Indeed quite often you would be hard pushed to find happier people anywhere.

Yeah, there but for the grace of God.

I can do this here Nellie since there is nobody else on the thread. Computer obsessed people heY? lol.

If you would care to go to my site and look at "instead I got us a pub" link -- I know you are on BB so that is OK for you. Ignore the rest 'cos it is not interesting anyway ------ go to the bottom and see the Rudolf kids (that is how it is spelt) -- the lady in the middle is my wife who spent more money on this than we could really afford but I tell you .. these kids have long since gone BUT they will never be forgotten nor will the pleasure we and our friends gave them.
