Craig Posted November 28, 2003 Report Share Posted November 28, 2003 Windows Forum Instant Support TrialNow some members may recall we made plans to operate some sort of instant support earlier on this year, well we are nearly ready.Windows Forum staff (Admin’s and Mod’s) will be providing support via the MSN / Windows Messenger service.Using MSN / Windows Messenger, we will be able to use the resources already available within the software. As well as the obvious chatting facility, we plan to use the “Remote Assistance” feature, which is available to ALL Windows versions from Windows 95 upwards (although only installed as default on Windows XP).The support service is to be used by members who are in need of ‘urgent’ support and cannot wait for a resolution via the forum.We can also use the “Remote Assistance” to take control of member’s computers to quickly diagnose and possibly resolve problems,The support staff are not Microsoft Certified, so we can only provide advice and support from our past experiences.I am currently working on a EULA to backup the support service before we go live, but I hope to start a month’s trial at the beginning of December.More details to follow.Craig.
