WinControl is a easy-to-use trigger based automation-tool, which can perform various tasks on demand. WinControl’s main purpose is to Control Windows in various ways, for example: Start applications, Jump to next song, Write text, Open/Close CD-tray etc. WinControl standard package include over 230 different commands it can perform, giving you control over programs such as Winamp, Windows Media Player, Real OnePlayer and Sonique.

WinControl works using "triggers", a trigger is a way you activate the commands to be executed. Available triggers in WinControl3 are

Hotkey, key-combinations (i.e. Left Windows + E)

ActionKey, multimedia keys, or just F1-F12

Text, Monitors for a specific text string to be written.

Clipboard, Monitors the clipboard for a specific text string.

Scheduled, starting at some point of time or event.

Window, Monitors for a specific window to be activated.

This is a Preview Edition Release, meaning that no help files are proved and the SDK for developers isn't available yet, but the software itself is in full release state.

Oh dear!

I have enough difficulty remembering the current key combinations without another 230 of them.

Perhaps I'm just demonstrating my age but I find that the methods already in Windows are quite adequate without having more to remember. It's not as if this program does anything unique, it's just a different way of achieving what's already installed.

I'm sure that some people who are into loading unnecessary software (bloatware) will find it amazing but definitely not for me!

Sorry to be a misery on this first day of 2004 - Happy New Year :)

Not at all pops and fair play to you.

If opinions arent added then how can people make a fair minded decision whether to load or not to load software?
