Wow, mega problems for me Craig. Has taken the best part of the last hour to access the Forum. I'll post my experience here in case it helps others who can read the forum as a guest but are unable to log in.

Site displayed as usual until I logged in, the moment I did it just displayed a blank screen. Eventually closed my browser and tried several times to return but each time would only get a blank screen when coming to the forum. Any other sites were fine. :(

I don't know if this helped but I cleared my temp files and cookies from Explorer and was then able to display the site. I then contacted yourself by clicking on the "Can't Log In" link at the top of the page. This prompted me to specify a new user name which I filled in with my original details (I have at no time changed any of my usernames or passwords since joining the site).

Following your e.mail I returned to the site and was then able to log in. Phew... hope this helps others. Keep trying folks, you'll get in eventually. :D

Hi Craig,

Didn't come on yesterday....However I have today and have found that I cannot log in with my usual name...I have to use the display name that I used before (Scarthy © ® ™). I have also noticed that I am getting alot of error pages when clicking links etc. I get the "page cannot be displayed" thing in Explorer. Usually it is cured when I click the link for a second time, but it has been happening quite alot since the move back... ;)

hi Scarthy.

Try emptying your temp internet files and cookies fist of all.

If you would like me to change your name back to the standard 'Scarthy' please let me know.

I have done away with the 'name change' feature as this is where the problems were.

Craig.

It may have something todo with your ISP, as i am not having any problems.

Although i am an admin, i would still see and experiance the same problems as others if they were board related :unsure:

Hi, Craig

I did have log-in problems yesterday (Saturday). If you remember, you e-mailed me a new user name. The site went off-line so I couldn't access it until the evening and found that I was all ready logged-in. :blink: Everything seems to be OK now - I've logged-in with my old user name today.

A possible explanation for the 'all ready logged in' thing;

Both boards are an exact copy of one another, and the cookies on both boards did not have a name, .i.e. starsandmoon, windowsforum.

I have named the cookies on this board as windowsforum.org now, so some things should resolve themselves now.

Craig.
