Boris Posted January 17, 2004 Report Share Posted January 17, 2004 My wife's friend's husband is having some problems trying to put a replacement ATA100 20 gig H/D in his PC as the original 6 gig one (FAT32 - make unknown) died recently.The new one is formatted FAT32 OK + it ran perfectly in the PC it came from.He's running Win98.His Bios apparently used to say AMI (10/29/98) - he thinks ? on bootHe's established these facts from an AIDA report he ran 6 weeks ago.Mobo is an Intel Bimini BI440ZX (1 ISA, 3 PCI, 1 AGP, 2 DIMM) 370 Pin PGA Celeron 366. I'm going over to see him tomorrow night - anyone know any reason why the new H/D doesn't seem to be recognised ?
