bvw Posted March 4, 2004 Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 I changed from Windows Messenger to MSN Messenger last week, using my Fuji S5000 digital camera as a web-cam with MSN is easier than the Windows version.Anyway......since changing over I get no pop-up/alert of any new email messages whilst I'm online. If I log off or close down and log back on again I get the alert OK.....it's just when I'm online I get nothing :unsure:If any contacts sign in the alert appears OK, it's just the email bit that I don't get.Display alerts when email is received is checked under the Options tab.Any ideas? I intend to get a seperate hdd for my image backups. I have a seperate one that I keep all essential docs etc on that Idon't want to lose, but it isn't big enough to do a full drive backup.Creating the partition and doing the image backup was really an exercise to see how it worked etc. I won't be relying on it as a sole backup. Except the completion bar wasn't even halfway across and it wanted me to put my third cd in the drive!!!
