Review here :-

It has a "built-in Firewall " :o

https://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archives/products.xml?table

Not undergone any Virus Bulletin tests recently !

Unlike our old friends

AVG 6.0.478

and

AVAST 4.0 Professional

which both got 100% in the June 03 XP Pro tests ! :D

But... why change to Panda? Because, it's all about detection rates.

Antivirus expert Mary Landesman said it best on About.com, "Panda ...

provides robust protection, unobtrusive daily updates, script blocking and

attachment filtering to ensure detection of even newly discovered

threats."

You can read the whole review here:

http://antivirus.about.com/cs/softwarerevi...r/aaprpanda.htm

Whatv they don't quote is :-

Cons

•  Cumbersome custom scan configuration

•  Email scans time out with multiple accounts

•  Heuristics disabled by default

Installed mine as well + also disabled its firewall.

Comments :-

1. The definition updates are so much quicker to get than the AVG Free ones ! -

I've been finding it very difficult to get them from AVG recently - it keeps timing out.

2. Full Scan seems quicker than AVG

Shall we have a new pinned thread for Panda Updates ? :D
