Agent Smith
Hmm, thats an interesting one, I thought the 745 was quite an old chipset. How old is your motherboard, and if you let me know the model number, I will check the msi site for you.Mr. M. Guest Rebel=UK=
Well ive got A Connect 3D 9600XT i paid £124 for it a few months back but you can get it now for £108.69 its a good card for that price, i can play the newest games full wack, infact 2day i maxed out Farcry to see how god it would cope...and it coped spot on no slowdown @ all. :D and it looked ......................................................................:jawdrop:
Agent Smith
besty, I'm pretty sure your board only has a 4 speed AGP port. I would now have to question the upgrade. The card should (although I recommend getting that verified first) work in your board, but at a slower speed. As you will not be able to gain the full benefit from the upgrade, I think you may be better off waiting a while, untill such time as you can afford to upgrade the motherboard as well. Then you will gain far more improvements than just a graphics card swap :D Mr. M. expertec
e-Bay can be good but you have to be over 18 to use it :o
Guest Rebel=UK=
They is a very very slight diffrence in 4xAgp and 8xAgp infact i have a 8X AGP slot on my motherboard but run it @ 4X for stability reasons and see no loss in FPS against my m8 with smilar specs but running it @ 8X.
