Does it make you feel clever? What is snobbish about knowing and using correct pronunciation? I have a very strong Brummie accent, and am proud of it, but I try to use proper English, and pronounce it correctly. I love to hear regional accents, some more than others, but there is nothing clever at all, in deliberately pronouncing things incorrectly.
