  1. So I've been experiencing two errors, and I'm not sure if they're connected or not: First, I began seeing a popup telling me that "Windows could not be activated." I found this strange as I had just successfully installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit over my "Not Genuine" copy of windows 7 home 32-bit (installed by the folks at office depot when I used this Hard Drive for the laptop I bought there). Re-Typing the product code in the box containing the OS disk did not work, so I decided to ignore it until my dad could help me with this problem. We haven't got to that yet. Today, out of nowhere, my computer shut down with a blue screen , telling me vaguely something about a "DRIVER_POWER_FAILURE" and an unknown error that caused my computer to reboot. I decided to reboot in Safe Mode, paranoid as I am, and a message popped up upon logging on telling me Windows wanted to check for a solution online. My Wi-fi dongle did not appear to function while the computer was in safe mode, so I eventually would decide to click "Check Later," in hopes that it would actually do that. It didn't. :( Below that message, in the same window, was what I perceived to be an error report, so I copied that and put it in a notepad document. The report contained the following: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 9f BCP1: 0000000000000003 BCP2: FFFFFA8012A04440 BCP3: FFFFF80000B9C3D8 BCP4: FFFFFA800EE02250 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\020113-36083-01.dmp C:\Users\Computer\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-62041-0.sysdata.xml Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt The files mentioned in that report are not on my hard drive, even while allowing hidden files/folders/drives to be viewed. Consequently, I decided to come here and post both errors. Maybe they're related, I don't know. I just don't want either to keep happening, because I like this computer. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
  2. Hello, i've had bsod problems for about half a year now, and as smart as I am, I have not really considered taking action until now. I'll try to provide you with as much relevant information as i can, if i've done something wrong or missed something, please tell me. When does the bsod usually happen? - When opening new tabs in google chrome - When doing nothing at all - A few times when playing games, but not very often Observations? - I ran a memtest a couple of months ago, i let it run for 5 hours, it only got one pass along with a hole bunch of errors (pretty sure it was over at least a 100 000 errors) So I'm pretty the RAM is the problem, but i want to make sure. - I witnessed the cpu constantly reaching 100% before a freeze crash, but that was not a bsod. My computer specs: - Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 520W PSU ATX 12V V2.3, 80 Plus Bronze, Modular, 2x 6+2pin PCIe, 6x SATA, 135mm Fan - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 16GB CL9 Kit w/4x 4GB, CL9-9-9-24, 1.5V, Vengeance Blue Heatspreader, 240 pin - EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 3.0 - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H, Socket-1155 ATX, Z77, DDR3, 2xG3+1xG2-PCIe-x16, SLI/CFX, mSATA, VGA, DVI, HDMI, DP, UEFI - Intel® Core i5-3570K Processor Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3.4GHz, 6MB, 77W, HD4000, Boxed w/fan - Seagate Barracuda® 1TB SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0), 64MB Cache, 7200RPM, 3.5" My latest dmp file ( out of 42 dmp files):/>http://www.mediafire.com/?lk34ffdldcfrfbc ( I was not allowed to upload a zip file, so i uploaded it on Mediafire instead ) Anyway, I hope you guys can help, i would really appreciate it. If i haven't provided you with the correct information, please tell me.
  3. I've been getting around 13 BSOD's in the last two months, and i don't have a clue what the cause is. 4. Hello! Recently I've experienced something that I believe is software/driver problems on my Windows 7 x64 PC. Every time I shutdown my computer, or put it to sleep, it simply crashes with a bluescreen and then restarts. I've started the computer in Safe Mode, and then it did not crash at all. Can someone help me with this error, please? Thanks in Advance / Komposten
