  1. Hello, This problem occurred randomly today (mic worked before) I have tried my gaming headset (one with a green, a pink, and a usb plug) as well as apple headset with the green + pink jack adapter to see if the problem was the mic or computer. so anyways, i started with my mic not having sound in RaidCall but worked in Skype and in control panel the green bar still moves, then i tried the unplugging, rebooting, checking if anything is muted, and later on it just turns into nothing is working, the green bar no longer moves... so it basically went from only software not hearing sound to my computer not hearing sound at all. I have try many suggestions on google, - i am sure my mics are working - i am sure nothing is muted, the right mic is selected. - computer detects the mic when i plug it in, realtek pops up to ask if i just plugged in a mic in the pink jack - i have tried both the front and rare jack, multiple times, both not working - i have removed sound driver and reinstalled, didn't help i'm not sure what else i can check or adjust anymore... please help! I am running on Win 7 64 bit.
  2. I don't get it? I want "listen to this device" to be enabled so that I can listen to it, the echo is due to the cause of lag. I have formatted my computer, and I am having this problem now. I never experienced anything like this and it is extremely frustrating. Everywhere I go is the unsolved issue, and people say the motherboard does not support it, a Windows representative on the phone even said it doesn't support it. IT WAS JUST WORKING BEFORE I FORMATTED IT! The quality is so bad as well, I am using a studio quality condenser mic, with a Behringer mixer, that takes care of everything. When I enable stereo mix, and listen to it through Speaker Properties (Unmuting in levels) it sounds SO CLEAR, so god damn amazing. Except if I wanted to use it, I would have to enable stereo mix, which is terrible for programs like Team Speak because the audio coming out of the program (peoples voices) is also going through my microphone. People say there is a noticeable difference between stereo mix and microphone. I have updated my drivers over a hundred times, and I have formatted my computer and tried different steps to installing the drivers correctly. Nothing seems to work, and this is driving me up the wall. First it happened when my computer was having issues to send it in to get it repaired, I got a loaner PC and I just thought it was the computer I had. Then I got my computer back and it was working fine, but the company hadn't formatted the computer or done anything to fix it, so there's that, the microphone was PERFECT. Then I decided to take it onto my own initiative to format it, so I got all the drivers I needed from the company website for the specific computer model I have, and loaded them all up. Now I'm experiencing the same issue as I did on the other computer. Now, would one of you care to explain and answer once and for all what this secret setting is? Thank you, Check mate.
  3. So I've had this problem for the last week, I have no audio whatsoever. I thought the problem might be the sound card, but the guys down at the tech store told me it was a problem with the computer not recognizing Realtek Audio as a device. Sure enough, in device manager the Realtek Audio option is gone! The guy at the tech store told me that to reinstall whatever it is I'm now suddenly missing I would have to nuke the computer. I just wanted to make sure, is there any way I could solve this problem without nuking my computer? Thank you very much! I wasn't quite sure where to put this so I put it in this section, if an admin knows a better place for this thread then please move it.
