I'm running on a Windows Vista 32-bit and I just recently received the FBI Moneypak virus. I used Norton's Power Eraser to get rid of all potential virus files on my computer. Unfortunately, in doing this, I deleted an important file and now my computer won't turn on in anything but Safe Mode. The good news is that Power Eraser will let me restore any deleted files I want. I just don't know which ones are bad, and which are good. Here are the files: n (shell extension) 7ca835.exe (startup item) alin.exe (startup item) mseoah.exe (startup item) Thanks in advance!

Last year I bought a new Sony Vaio in the UK. I came complete with Windows 7 Home. When I move pictures to a directory on my hard disk, either from another source or simply from another directory I find a new sub directory in the target directory with the photos name xxxxxxxx.jpg.file as the sub directories name. In the new subdirectory there are 2 new copies of the photo much smallerin size and with unusual names e.g. vcm_s_kf_m160_160x120 .jpg and vcm_s_kf_repr_832x624.jpg. these names indicating the size of the new files. These additional folders are frustrating me no end and are consuming much energy in deleting them. I do not know what program is responsible. "months ago I upgraded to windows 8 Pro but the problem still exists. Can anyone help me identify this in order to remove it or is it perhaps some worm. I use Norton 360 to guard against viruses.
