  1. I think it may have started when my friend put his usb in my computer, the next day i started getting this message at every startup: Can not find script file "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Internet Explorer\iexplore.vbs". It's weird because i don't even use Internet explorer I use google chrome. Anyway I have a Toshiba Satellite, windows 8.1, Eset Nod32 antivirus. I ran the antivirus the first day and it caught a few threats and cleaned them, when i ran it again i couldn't find any threats but the message still shows at startup. Do I have to format my laptop? Would i be able to fix it using Windows Defender? Or is there a manual way to fix this .. Thanks in advance! Sara
  2. Anyone have any ideas how to remove this from IE?
  3. I'm running on a Windows Vista 32-bit and I just recently received the FBI Moneypak virus. I used Norton's Power Eraser to get rid of all potential virus files on my computer. Unfortunately, in doing this, I deleted an important file and now my computer won't turn on in anything but Safe Mode. The good news is that Power Eraser will let me restore any deleted files I want. I just don't know which ones are bad, and which are good. Here are the files: n (shell extension) 7ca835.exe (startup item) alin.exe (startup item) mseoah.exe (startup item) Thanks in advance!
  4. Hey, i just know that one new virus had been created by some kind of asian man from china. Its called Chernobyl Virus. From that, just know that this computer virus is 60 times more worse than ILOVEYOU virus because ILOVEYOU virus just make the computer malfunciton and can be restore if it does. But, Chernobyl Virus, it would make your PC go to 'its hospital' when get it It destroy your BIOS, PROCESSOR AND RAM instead broke your pc and turn it into shit. Hope you know what i mean. IS THIS IS THEWORSE VIRUS EVER?..Just for general knowledge.

  6. Hi everybody! During one installation I disabled my AVG antivirus, since I thought that the alerts were false positives, but I turned out to be wrong and infected my computer (Windows 7). Afterwards I did a full scan, rebooted the computer, did another full scan and haven't seen any virus alerts since. But something happened to Windows Installer - I always get this error: The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. I see that the service is started, I've tried fixing it's registry, reregistering and whatnot, nothing seems to have helped. Do you think that the virus can still be there, just no detected by AVG, or is it something it did and then got cleaned, but the Installer is still corrupt? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  7. Hi, I recently had a java virus that seemed to be throttling my internet and causing it to drop out every couple of minutes. I went to bleeping computer and had it resolved. However, my internet is still not working. I try playing an online game and every minute or so I lose connection. What can I do to make my internet work again? I have Windows 7 64bit. Thanks in advance.
  8. Hey everybody ! :) This is my first post so bear with me, Today i was visiting my elderly aunt when all of a sudden the phone rang with a long distance call. She picked up the phone and just by her responses i could tell that it was a fraudulent microsoft scam so her being not so technology savvy called me over to the phone. She told the telemarceter and he happily complied but as soon as he said "Hi my name is Mike and i am calling from microsoft windows" I quickly replied back in a louder more aggressive tone and said "This is a scam !" and then he proceeded to tell me how i didn't know it was a scam , not knowing that i had read about this before. He then started to get nervous and try to convince me. As soon as he started talking his lies i told him that i didn't own any computers and this is a scam so it could not be me, He then quickly said bye bye and hung up on me. What are your experiences with this ? Has this ever happened to you ?
  9. Hello, I have two CDs that cause my computer to slowdown/freeze when opened. The content is very important and I do not have back-up. I scanned with Kaspersky and Malwarebites but nothing shows up? Please can you provide any advise on what I can do. I was considering taking them into a computer technician shop - they say they will try and remove the content to another CD? I have also posted my problem at techguy.com with a computer report a week ago but had not reply as yet. Thanks in advance for any help. Jacob
