The first thing I should point out, is that I have never actually used 2003 server, so whilst I will try to ensure any information I give you is correct, there may be the odd discrepency.Now as far as I am aware, 2003 sbs comes in two versions, Standard and Premium. Both of these come with 5 user licences, or CAL's (Client Access Licenses) as Microsoft call them. There are two types of CAL, either a user based or a device based, but either way you should be able to get all five people to access the server. You can purchase additional CAL's in 5 or 20 packs.Now on to your problem. I think that you are going to have to give me some more information please. What exactly do you mean by a "remote user". Personally I would take the term to mean somebody who is trying to connect from another site, as opposed to a local LAN. If this is the case, how do they connect? Via direct dial modem, web portal or VPN? Do the users have accounts created on the server? Do you have any other servers? Are you running a domain? What exactly do the users need to connect to the server to do, just simple file sharing, or something more in depth?Is this something you are having a problem implementing, or is it something you plan on doing?If you could supply me with some more detailed information, I will try to help you further.Regards.
