Guest northamuk
There are too many variables to give an answer to that, but be prepared to wait for hours.

Chris
1) Only download the file and do not surf the internet or download any emails. You will find that only downloading the file and doing nothing else will enable your connection to work at its best. You can still use your computer but do not attempt to use anything connected with the internet.2) Do not download at peak periods as this is when there are millions of people using the internet at the same time. The result, will be a slow download and connections will suffer.3) If you can, try and connect early in the morning and attempt a download, as this when we have the time difference in our favor. You should find connections are faster and you might be able to download a large file.4) If the website where you are attempting the download, gives you the chance to download a compressed *.zip folder then download this as opposed to the larger *.exe files. A compressed folder will be smaller than the larger *.exe file. You may need WinZip from here to take advantage of this.5) Try another website or "Mirror" where the same file maybe available for download. Redhat
Normally divide your quoted speed by 8.. my 600Kb/s : 600/8 = 75KB/S. BTBB = 512Kb/s correct? 512/8 = 64KB/s :)
