grim_reefer Posted May 20, 2004 Report Share Posted May 20, 2004 im so pissed at Micro$uck internet explorer right now coz at work its totally ****** up.. it wont close properly and crashes but it disappears, its still there though in the running processes list and eventually says "(not responding)" and if youve opened and closed several windows - it can be there in the running processes list several times, all not respondingthere had also been a few trojans and a virus on there detected by trend micro website, i knew there was something on there as sites i was entering was loading different sites and the computer always tring to download things from sites.... so i cleared them viruses etc but i dont believe they was there at first or when i updated IE, nonetheless i tried patching IE at windowsupdate, this didnt solve the problem, tried using windows "repair" feature in the add/remove programs thing, and tried reverting back to previous version.. and then tried re-installing IE with the CDs that came with the computer a few years ago and the problem with IE is still there.. it also makes the system unstable, even after terminating the crashed but not-visible IE windows.. and likely that the whole system crashes eventuallyany help on the IE problem would be appreciated i think the problem may actually be in the windows registry, but im not totally sureim using Mozilla Firefox from now on - but i cant seem to uninstall IE?! :angry: and i dont think i can anyway because windowsupdate doesnt work with anything but IE :( and ive also just noticed Windows Media Player wont load after just re-installing it :( if the problems are in the registry i have no idea how to fix them... :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
