The software giant has decided that a forthcoming update to XP will not work with the most widely pirated versions of its operating system. The upgrade, called Service Pack 2, closes security loopholes in XP and adds features that make it easier to keep machines safer from viruses. -pops- Posted June 4, 2004 Report Share Posted June 4, 2004 A hacked version of SP2 will no doubt be available within minutes of launch, just as WXP was.People with pirate versions aren't going to be particular if they have SP2 and if, by chance, they are, they sure ain't going to be bothered about its source.
