Hurdy
BBC"This is beginning to represent a really significant sea change in the relationship between state and every individual in this country." It was now clear the scheme was not just about identity cards but about a national identity register, he said. "It is not just about citizens having a piece of plastic to identify themselves. "It's about the amount, the nature of the information held about every citizen and how that's going to be used in a wide range of activities." catgate
George Orwell was very perceptive, and years ahead of the game. All this ID stuff sounds very familiar to anyone with any Orwellian reading behind them. For those who have not read Orwell a visit to http://angelfire.com/realm3/accord will provide other equally "fantastical" truths, that are of the utmost importance in todays world of lies, deciet and government. The situation is very soon going to become totally irretrievable. Every possible oportuity is being taken to introduce as many restrictive, straight jacket measures as possible under the guise of "safety" and the "nanny state", with the explanation "well we are really doing it for your benefit". When in fact it is only for the benefit of the "controllers".
