You can use this driver to create an additional drive in the physical memory of your machine. This drive can be used for storing temporary files, which can increase your system performance. Tankus Posted June 9, 2004 Report Share Posted June 9, 2004 The computer really rips along with it on ....But XP loses all its restore points when its in use ....Restore does not work .... eventually I stated having slight stability problems , I eventually went back to a standard set up .......As it was not worth the risk of losing XP's recovery feature ... Smiffy99 Posted June 9, 2004 Author Report Share Posted June 9, 2004 Thanks to all so far, please keep them comming.I have had a Ram Drive for a little while but it was limited to 64Mb and now I would like something a little larger (said the actress......) I am running with 1024Mb PC3500 Matched Dual Channel so have a bit to play with and 64Mb prevents some downloads.As to restore points I have never really used them having come to grief and finding that "Your computer couldnot be restored..." - and that was BEFORE the ram drive so I now rely totally on Ghost images and take one at least every week with Docs stored on a seperate drive. In the event of a problem I restore totally in about 15 Minutes to what I know is a good clean and working setup. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
