Besty
I have had aol 1meg broadband since just after christmas. It has worked fine up until now. When i got home the other day i turned the comp on and the aol would not connect. I looked at the modem which is a Bt voyager 100 asdl modem and the dsl and data light were not on. The only light that was on is the power light. I checked all of the connections and everything. They are all fine. I replaced the filters to see if that wud make a difference. I have reinstalled the aol software and the drivers but to no avail. Could it have been something I have downloaded or is the modem banjaxed please help me. I have been on for hours with the aol people and my phone line and all is broadband enabled still and the phones and all are all fine. Please help

Agent Smith
Well i dont think aol realy did know what the problem is. I will try and get a hold of a modem for a night and try thatThat would be your best bet Besty ( :D that was a mouthful). Seriously, you need to try and eliminate the possible reasons, and replacing the modem is a good place to start.Mr. M.
Andy-2004
he was thinking that i could go over to his house with my modem and try it at his house..would that work?
Agent Smith
No reason I can think of that would stop it. You may need to install the drivers for your modem on Bestys pc. but it should work.Mr. M.

If not, try seeing if there is a reset button on the modem.Mr. M.
Guest Blink_182_fan
I had the exact same problem but it was all up to that i needed more microfilters because my sky digital was not letting my dsl connect. The reason it wasnt is that my phone line runs from the phone to the digi box and to my modem and i only had a micro filter at my phone and at the computer.
