christmascracker
After all the talk recently about cpu temps got me to thinking about mine.In the bios I noticed that I can set the smartfan (where the cpu temp reaches a certain level the fan speeds up) to different temperatures or disable it. When it's disabled the fan runs at at a higher rpm then when a temp is set.It was originally set to 55 degrees but on disabling it my cpu temp went down by a good 5 degrees. :)Is it ok to leave it disabled or should I have it set to a certain level? -pops-
I would think it's up to you. Faster fan = louder noise. If you can put up with that, fine but, I'm all for a quiet life and would leave the auto setting active.
nellie2
55 degrees is an ok temp.... your system is running fine with it set... seeing as it is quieter then I would take advantage of the option.
