robj
Getting this error message - "timeout" It's trying to deliver message 1 message out of 6. I've upped the connection time from 1 to 2 mins in case its a large attachment. Also (having Googled the message) have deleted file "pop3uidl" and re-booted. Still no joy. Bit loathe to disable email scanning. Any suggestions? (WINXP, OE6, NIS 2004)

robj
Solved, thanks.Got onto my ISP (PC bought locally and set up for me) and found out how to check mail at the server. Cleared the first message in queue and that loosened things up!

Redhat
I did read somewhere that the virus email scam was not neccessary.?If you mean scan ... :) Then technically, if your AV still has the real-time monitor running then you should still be protected. But it's nice to have email attachment's scanned as they come in.
