Scarecrow Man
give more info please...what version of windows? what type of router? what is the error?has it ever worked?I assume your on windows XP, using a wired router. (just a guess)in anycase... go here and select router from the drop down list, and put in your model number in the second list.if it's wireless router, set up software FIRST. if it's wired, you should just plug it in and go. Agent Smith
Hi mayfieldmotors, just a quick point, but you state that your desktop is configured to use 192.168.0.1. In my experience, the router will ALWAYS default to the first available address for the IP range it is to use, so in this case, if the IP range (192.168.0.X) is correct, I would expect to find that the router is using 192.168.0.1Try changing your pc's address to 192.168.0.2 and see what happens. Also check that 192.168.0 is correct, and that the router is not using 192.168.1.1 which is also quite common.Mr. M.
