Drive Image 2002 Problem

Hi all,

I’ve been using Drive Image 2002 since it came out, and have had no problems at all using it with Windows XP Pro on my desktop computer.

I have now purchased an HP Pavilion ZD7000 laptop with Windows XP Home, and Drive Image 2002 is not working correctly.

At the moment, I can create images, but cannot restore them.

When I select the image file I want to restore, usually all the partition images that were created under that file are shown, however now this does not happen.

Instead, nothing is shown, and I cannot restore the image. Also trying to access the image via the image explorer fails.

Can anyone offer advice as to what may be the problem?

Craig I'm really guessing here, but I know HP computers come with all sorts of HP software installed..... you wouldn't have a conflict would you? :huh:

Well I've just installed my own retail version of Windows XP Pro, but have used all the HP disc's that i used when i installed Windows XP Home, it works now :blink:

Most computers like that come with recovery software. I know that you don't want your PC to be set up the way the recovery software will do it, but maybe it's a good starting point, and you can customize from there. Also, make a CD with an autorun and a batch file to install everything you need that the CD won't do.

May be a bit harder, but you'll still get the results
