moon
I've used the free version for yonks and I'm wondering what I'm missing out on in terms of protection by not having the single user pro license. Can somebody explain in simple terms, please ?Also, I just looked at the price on Grisoft,European Union residents pay GBP 22.41 (incl. 19% VAT).19% VAT ? Have I missed something ?

christmascracker
Why not download the 30 day trial and see what you think. I've use AVG7 and paid (including vat) £23.49. That's for a two year license.
moon
In all honesty, there is nothing in the list of extras that I can't do without. I also think that coughing up every two years is way heavy. Why can't they make their money by being good enough to constantly attract new customers for a lifetime license ? My firewall's got a lifetime license.

moon
Yep,I use the free edition, which is ace, but I'm not shelling out every two years. I'd buy a one-off licence like a shot.
Scarecrow Man
I don't understand.. you don't want to pay that much for it. so you use the free edition, but want to buy it. but it costs too much... I'm confused?
-pops-
I use AVG 7. The main reason is that after using the free version for very many years, I got pangs of conscience that I wasn't paying my way in supporting Grisoft.I don't regret it.It was suggested at one time that they were to stop the free version. moon
I'm confused?Well don't be. I was just asking what the benefits were in the paid version. Looking at the posted list there aren't any for me. As much as I would like to support Grisoft, by buying the paid version anyway, I won't rent a license. I'd buy a lifetime license though. :)
