awake
I'm sure I've seen this before on this forum, so apologies if I'm repeating a post. After upgrading windows messenger to 6.2 on Win XP, both versions, ie, 6.2 and the bundled 4.7 version attempt to startup together. Is there a setting to disable 4.7, or can it be uninstalled somehow leaving the updated 6.2 running ?My view is that any new version of a program should detect any old versions and either upgrade or uninstall them (rant, rant).Anyway, if there's a way of disabling 4.7 I'd like to hear it.Oh, I did find a reference to 'AutoPatcher XP 4.5.12' which apparently gives an option to uninstall 4.7. But, I was hoping there was a way of doing this without installing s/ware.Thanks in advance.
