Like it that much that I also want to change my email client to Thunderbird.This is the situation:Now I'm using OE on PC1.I want to install Thunderbird on PC2PC1 and PC2 are connected through LAN.Is it possible to import my adressbook and my mails that are in OE to Thunderbird. I read in the faq that its no problem to import those, if OE an Thunderbird are on the same pc. In my case they are on a different puter.... Scarecrow Man Posted August 4, 2004 Report Share Posted August 4, 2004 Outlook stores everything in .pst files in the C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. So if you move the .pst files from one computer, you should be OK (It imports during install)... Tony Posted August 4, 2004 Report Share Posted August 4, 2004 HiOutlook Express does not use a .pst file, that is only Outlook which does.OE stores every thing in the Store Folder.If you go to your options in OE you will find somewhere there where your Store Folder is located (also with a browse box to point it to a different location.So when you set up Thunderbird just point it to the OE Store Folder, and all should be ok.CheersTony Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I choose 'Tools-Import ' in Thunderb. I get 3 options:-Adress book-Mails-SettingsI choose 'Adres Book' or 'Mails'click next. Now there's a window where I choose Outlook Express. I click next and it says the adresses/mails are imported.Now this isn't so... My OE is on another pc from my network. Thunderbird don't give me the option to browse to that store folder. Tony Posted August 4, 2004 Report Share Posted August 4, 2004 All i can suggest is that you install Thunderbird on to the pc with OE on it, then let it import everthing, once it has done that you should be able to copy and paste the thunderbird folder to where you have it installed on the other machine (over writing the exsisting files), that way you should have everything you want, in Thunderbird.
