leroy
I am using Windows XP Home, SP2 installed. Double clicking on folder opens the search window instead of opening the folder. If I right click on the folder the menu that opens has Search bold at the top of the menu and open is down in the middle of the menu. I don't know if this started when I installed SP2 or if I have changed some thing that caused this change. I can't find the proper place to change this back so that double clicking on the folder will open it. Any help would be appreciatedLeroy
christmascracker
Hi Leroy and welcome to WFHave you tried a system restore back to when everything was ok?
leroy
I have not tried a restore as of yet as I installed SP2 and several programs in the last 2 weeks, and as my internet connection is a rather slow DSL (320) and It took a long time to download and install. So I am trying to keep from going the restore route at this time. Thanks
Scarecrow Man
Try this,Start > Control Panel > Folder OptionsClick the File Types tab.browse to 'Folder' and click advanced.Mine has open and explore. I can't edit either. If yours has something else, delete it if you can. Then set open as default.
