This is why I always used to post a welcome in the thread that they had posted seeking help, until I was asked not to do this. The reason for welcoming newcomers is to hopefully make them feel at home and see that they are welcome, and that we hope they will stay and contribute. It would appear that more often than not newcomers are so anxious to have their problem solved that they rarely explore the rest of the forum, just returning here to see what answers their problem has evoked.
