awake
Got a problem with task scheduling on a win XP home PC. Automatic live update for Norton internet security fails with 0x80. This is a known bug and there's a microsoft hotfix for it. When I try to send an email to their support they throw out the Product ID saying I need to contact the PC (laptop) manufacturer !Either that or pay for a fix for a product that's already been paid for. Some way to make money (rant .. rant).Anyways, does anyone know a way of getting MS hotfixes is this kind of situation ? The alternative is to install SP2 on the laptop, which I don't particularly want to do as it can cause it's own problems.Thoughts anyone ? trackrat
Do the SP2 install, if it messes up you can uninstall it from add & remove in the control panel.
